Community Support & Giving Back
Thank You for Your Support
We want to thank everyone for all the years of support and for your loyalty to the farm. We, Ken, Kathy and Gale are
all (close to or over) 80 years of age. As to how much longer we can keep doing the farm fall season depends on so
many things, especially our health. We don't have any plans of stopping but we have wondered every year for some
time now. Regardless - we just want you to know how much we enjoy the visiting, the kids, the laughter, the spark it
puts in our step each year. When we close each year it is like the farm died. It is far too quiet and the winter days are
far too long. But when you see the rows of chile and pumpkin patch pop up in July, you know we are going to be open
for the fall season once again!
The Non-profits You Help Support
through Tigges Farm
Weld Food Bank www.weldfoodbank.org
Tigges Farm makes a trip to the Food Bank nearly every week with any excess produce after we close the doors on
Sunday. We don't waste any food that is still good, but probably not it's best if it waits for us to open again on
Thursday. There is a lot more to providing adequate hunger relief to all of Weld County than one might think.

paid for out of their own pockets by Ken Tigges, Kathy Rickart and Gale Loeffler, co-mangers of the Tigges Farm
Produce and Pumpkin Patch.
Other Sponsors:
Sometimes businesses do "thank you" coupons or give away pumpkins to their clientele and the farm is their location
or they sponsor some of the activities. Kathy Rickart is the owner of Colorado Costume Castle
www.ColoradoCostumeCastle.com sponsors the Unicorn. It is another way the community is supported as her
business is devoted to loaning costumes only to school productions or educational activities, community theater and
church events at a fee the borrower determines. The only rule is "no one goes over budget in making a donation."
Yup, the pandemic loans were "free" as budgets were all expense and little or no income.
Fall Gathering Place:
Tigges Farm offers use of the Event Building for individuals, organizations or businesses to gather for a free-will
donation. Flood and Peterson Insurance had held a staff pot luck and meeting, Reality companies have given out
pumpkins. Parents have had birthday parties. Reunions have gathered at the farm. Greeley Chamber of Commerce
and Windsor/Severance Historical Society have had agriculture tours. Pre-reservations must be made.
